Getting to know Courtney
How Courtney started...
Courtney Jean has been around horses for as long as she could remember- even before she could walk. Her passion for trick riding began at the age seven while traveling to rodeos with her family, and by nine, she was performing her first act. Since then, she has shared her trick riding and roman riding performances with audiences across Canada, the Northeast, and the Midwest, always pushing herself to develop new, exciting acts.
She has trained every one of her horses herself- from breaking them to ride, to teaching them trick riding, Roman riding, and everything in between. The bond she shares with her equine athletes is unlike any other: earned through trust, patience, and hard work, never bought.

Courtney has been Trick riding for over 12 years! She began her performing career at rodeos in Canada and has since traveled extensively throughout the Northeast and Midwest, bringing her Trick riding and Roman riding acts to audiences year-round. She currently holds PRCA and IPRA cards and hopes to expand her performances to the Western States in the coming years.

Courtney has spent her entire life with horses, building a truly diverse and hands-on background. She grew up riding alongside her mother, watching her train and break horses, and competed in everything from Western pleasure to English disciplines, including hunter jumpers. As her family began traveling to more rodeos, Courtney fell in love with the energy and excitement of the arena.

Courtney takes great care to make sure her horses are ready for every performance, thinking through all the details so that both her team and the audience stay safe. Safety always comes first, but she also knows that good communication and transparency with everyone involved- from event staff to fellow team members- makes everything run smoothly.
